Jamie Vardy In Action For Leicester City Against Brighton And Hove Albion

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Foxes maintained their good run of form in the Premier League this season with a 2-0 victory over Brighton away from home at the American Express Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

After a goalless first half, Ayoze Perez - signed from Newcastle United in the summer transfer window for £30 million - put the Foxes in the lead in the 64th minute after he was set up by fellow striker Vardy.

Vardy himself scored the second goal for Brendan Rodgers’s side from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute.

The 32-year-old English striker has revelled in the win for Leicester on Twitter and has thanked the fans for their support.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the American Express Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon, hosts Brighton had 53% of the possession, took seven shots of which none was on target, and earned six corners.

Visitors Leicester had 47% of the possession, took 19 shots of which nine were on target, and earned seven corners.

The result means that the Foxes are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 29 points from 13 matches, as many as eight points behind leaders Liverpool.

Leicester will return to action on December 1 when they take on Everton at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League.
