Jamie Carragher has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Liverpool’s win against Manchester City.
Liverpool registered a pretty comfortable 3-1 win against City at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Fabinho put the Merseyside outfit ahead after just six minutes, and Mohamed Salah made it 2-0 for the home team in the 13th minute.
Sadio Mane found the net for Liverpool six minutes into the second half, and Bernando Silva pulled one back for Pep Guardiola’s side in the 78th minute.
Liverpool legend Carragher was following the match, and he has given his take on the final result on Twitter, and has praised Fabinho for his performance.
Huge 3 points for @LFC today & 9 points is a huge lead at this early stage. I thought @ManCity played very well with the ball, but they just couldn’t cope defensively. Fabinho & the CB’s were immense for #LiverpoolFC #LIVMANC— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) November 10, 2019
Against City on Sunday, defensive midfielder Fabinho took two shots of which one ended in a goal, had a pass accuracy of 83.3%, took 45 touches, attempted one dribble, and made one tackle and two interceptions.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Anfield, hosts Liverpool had 45% of the possession, took 12 shots of which five were on target, and earned four corners.
Liverpool are as many as nine points clear of City at the top of the Premier League table at the moment and are favourites for the title.
