Leeds United central midfielder Kalvin Phillips has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Blackburn Rovers.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side got the better of Blackburn 2-1 at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Patrick Bamford put the home team in the lead from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark, and Manchester City-owned winger Jack Harrison doubled the advantage just five minutes later.
Rovers halved the deficit through Derrick Williams on 40 minutes, and although the visiting team had chances in the second half, the Whites managed to pick up all three points from the encounter.
Leeds central midfielder Phillips has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for his team.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, hosts Leeds had 68% of the possession, took 15 shots of which four were on target, and earned four corners.
Visitors Blackburn had 32% of the possession, took four shots of which one was on target, and earned five corners.
The result means that Leeds are third in the Championship table at the moment with 31 points from 16 matches, two points behind leaders West Bromwich Albion.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side will return to action on November 23 when they take on Luton Town away from home in the Championship.
