Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against KRC Genk.
The Reds got the better of Belgian side KRC Genk at Anfield in Champions League Group E on Tuesday evening.
Georginio Wijnaldum put the Premier League club in the lead in the 14th minute, and Mbwana Samatta restored parity for the visiting team in the 40th minute.
Oxlade-Chamberlain found the net in the 53rd minute to secure all three points from the match.
The 26-year-old England international midfielder has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for Liverpool.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Anfield on Tuesday evening, hosts Liverpool had 72% of the possession, took 27 shots of which eight were on target, and earned nine corners.
Visitors KRC Genk had 28% of the possession, took six shots of which three were on target, and earned one corner.
The win against KRC Genk means that Liverpool are at the top of Champions League Group E table at the moment with nine points from four matches, just a point clear of second-placed Napoli.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will return to action on Sunday evening when they take on defending champions Manchester City at Anfield in the Premier League.
