Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri has taken to Twitter to express his delight at his side’s win against Watford.

The Blues got the better of Watford 2-1 away from home at Vicarage Road in the Premier League on Saturday.

Tammy Abraham put Frank Lampard’s side in the lead after just five minutes, and Christian Pulisic doubled the advantage 10 minutes into the second half.

Gerard Deulofeu halved the deficit from the penalty spot in the 80th minute, but the visiting team held on for all three points.

Chelsea left-back Palmieri has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for his team.


Over the course of the 90 minutes at Vicarage Road on Saturday, hosts Watford had 33% of the possession, took 12 shots of which three were on target, and earned one corner.

Visitors Chelsea had 67% of the possession, took 16 shots of which 10 were on target, and earned 10 corners.

The win against Watford means that the Blues are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 23 points from 11 matches.

Chelsea are back in action on Tuesday evening when they take on Ajax at Stamford Bridge in London in Champions League Group H.
