Jamie Carragher has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Liverpool’s win against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
Liverpool maintained their charge towards the Premier League title with a 2-1 comeback win against Tottenham at home on Sunday evening.
England international striker Harry Kane put Spurs in the lead in the very first minute, but Jordan Henderson restored parity for the Merseyside outfit seven minutes into the second half.
Then with 15 minutes of normal time remaining, Liverpool earned a penalty when Serge Aurier caught the back of Sadio Mane’s leg, and Mohamed Salah made no mistake from the spot.
The scoreline could have been more in favour of Jurgen Klopp’s side had Tottenham goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga not made a string of impressive saves.
Liverpool legend Carragher was following the match, and he has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the final result.
The former Liverpool and England international was impressed with the displays produced by Fabinho, Sadio Mane and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Premier League title challenge
The win against Tottenham means that Liverpool are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 28 points from 10 matches.
The Merseyside outfit are as many as six points clear of second-placed and defending champions Manchester City.
The Reds will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Premier League rivals Arsenal at Anfield in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.
