Gary Lineker has praised Raheem Sterling on Twitter for the Manchester City star’s performance against Atalanta on Tuesday evening.
City maintained their strong run in the Champions League with a comprehensive 5-1 victory over Atalanta at home.
Sterling was the star of the show, as the England international - who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger - scored a stunning hat-trick.
The former Liverpool player found the target in the 58th, 64th and 69th minute of the encounter.
The win at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday evening means that City are at the top of Group C with maximum points from three matches.
Former Tottenham Hotspur and England international striker Lineker was following the match, and he was impressed with the display produced by Sterling.

World-class attacking player
Sterling is one of the best attacking players in the world and has taken his game to another level under manager Guardiola.
The 24-year-old has scored six goals and provided one assist in eight Premier League appearances for City so far this season.
The former Liverpool attacker has scored four goals and provided two assists in 214 minutes of Champions League minutes for the Citizens so far this campaign.
During the 2018-19 campaign, Sterling scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in 31 Premier League starts, and scored five goals and provided two assists in 10 Champions League matches for City.
