Liverpool central defender Virgil van Dijk has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s failure to win against Manchester United at the weekend.

Jurgen Klopp’s side played out a 1-1 draw with United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Marcus Rashford put United in the lead after 36 minutes, and Adam Lallana restored parity for Liverpool in the 85th minute.

Liverpool defender Van Dijk has stated on Twitter that the Reds could have won the match on another day, and has pointed out that the Merseyside outfit are still unbeaten in the Premier League table.

Going Strong In Premier League

The draw with United means that Liverpool are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 25 points from nine matches.

The Reds are as many as six points clear of second-placed Manchester City, who have won the league title for the past two seasons.

Back In Action

Liverpool will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on KRC Genk away from home in Champions League Group E.

The Reds are back in action in the Premier League next weekend when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.
