Liverpool central defender Virgil van Dijk has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Leicester City.
The Reds got the better of Leicester 2-1 at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Sadio Mane put the home team in the lead in the 40th minute, and James Maddison restored parity for the visiting side on 80 minutes.
Then in the fifth minute of injury time, Mane earned a penalty for Liverpool, and his teammate James Milner did not make any mistake in converting the spot kick.
Liverpool centre-back Van Dijk has posted a simple two-word reaction to his side’s victory over Leicester on Twitter.
Putting Pressure On Manchester City
The win against Leicester at Anfield means that Liverpool are now at the top of the Premier League table with 24 points from eight matches, as many as eight points clear of second-placed and defending champions Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s side are in action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.
