City got the better of Everton 3-1 at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday.
Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling scored the goals for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Fernandinho has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for City, and he has urged his teammates to keep pushing.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon, hosts Everton had 37% of the possession, took 12 shots of which seven were on target, and earned five corners.
Visitors City had 63% of the possession, took 20 shots of which nine were on target, and earned two corners.
City are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 16 points from seven matches.
The Citizens, who have won the league title for the past two seasons, are as many as five points behind leaders Liverpool.
Back in action
City will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Dinamo Zagreb at the Etihad Stadium in Champions League Group C.
Guardiola’s side’s next Premier League game is against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League next Sunday.
