On Saturday, May 14 Deportivo la Coruna hosts Real Madrid in the final week of the Spanish Primera Liga 2015/16 season. The game will be played at the Estadio Municipal de Riazor and will kick off at 16:00 BST.

The hosts are currently 13th on the league table with 42 points from 37 games, while the visitors are in 2nd place, with 87 points from 37 league games.

A win for the mid table team could see them rise as high as 10th place, while a defeat could mathematically see them drop as low as 16th place. A win for the title chasers could see them end the match day top of the standings, while a defeat can send them no lower than 6th position.

Deportivo coast homeFollowing their impressive win away at Villarreal last time out, Deportivo la Coruna are 6 points above the relegation zone with one game to play, and are therefore assured a place in the premier division next season.

Branquiazuis, managed by Victor Sanchez, are in poor form, with one win, two draws and two defeats in their last five games. These single win was against Villarreal in their last outing (0-2 on May 8).

The underdogs could only manage to draw their recent games against Sevilla (1-1 on April 17), and Eibar (1-1 on April 24), but suffered defeats at the hands of Barcelona (0-8 on April 20), and Getafe (0-2 on May 1).

Real Madrid fight till the endReal Madrid are set for a grand stand finish to the season, with the chance of a double still very much alive. They trail leaders Barcelona going into the final league match, and have a Champions League final against rivals Athletico Madrid to come at the end of the month.

Los Blancos, managed by Zinedane Zidane are in excellent form, winning four and drawing one of their last five games in all competitions. These wins include league victories against Rayo Vallecano (2-3 on April 23), Real Sociedad (0-1 on April 30), and Valencia (3-2 on May 8). They also defeated Manchester City in the second leg of the Champions League semifinal tie (1-0 on May 4).

The only recent game which the Madrid giants have failed to win was the draw against Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal tie (0-0 on April 24).

Top scorer Lucas Perez has been in fine form for Deportivo this season, scoring 17 goals in 35 league games, and he will be looking to end the season on a high by scoring against one of the most fancied teams in the league. Real Madrid will need their big players to play past the pressure on a big game like this and there is none bigger than talismanic Cristiano Ronaldo who will be looking to help his team beat his rival Lionel Messi to the league title.

Real Madrid have a lot riding on this game and will be hoping to seal all three points in the hope that Barcelona drop points in their game. Real Madrid to win this game convincingly.
