Penske Racing is a strong participant for 2008 in NASCAR, the IndyCar series as well as the American Le Mans Series and their extremely vibrant and rich history is a great launching pad for a new season that holds many possibilities.
Ryan Newman, Kurt Busch and Sam Hornish Jr. will be providing the necessary skills to drive their cars over the chequered flag at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
The American Le Mans Series has the likes of Timo Bernhard, Roman Dumas and Emmanuel Collard who earned victories in the team’s Porsche RS Spyder.
Penske Racing are moving towards their 300th team win and when that comes, they will be hoping that it moves them swiftly along towards their 21st National Championship. The team has one of the most productive and dedicated driver lineup who’s commitment to winning is unmatched.
Busch had a wonder 2007 where he qualified for the Chase to the Sprint Cup and finished 7th overall in the final NASCAR Nextel Cup standings. Newman is in his eighth season as a race driver at NASCAR and he seems to be getting faster still. In 2007, he came second amongst all Cup drivers. Hornish Jr. will have his task cut-out this season. He comes in to NASCAR racing with a record of being the driver with the all-time highest number of wins in the Indy Racing League.
The team has had a wonderful time in each level where they have competed and will look to improve on their records and get another NASCAR Sprint Cup title under their belt.
