New Mercedes driver and former Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton says anything is possible with his new team including a first-up title win.

The Brit made the move from McLaren to Mercedes for this season and will be hoping to end Sebastian Vettel’s reign at the top of the game.

Hamilton is a former world champion, when he triumphed with McLaren in 2008 and he isn’t ruling out another title charge.

“I live to win, that’s what I work towards every year. So, that’s what we are going to be working towards this year,” Hamilton said.

“I mean, of course, it’s going to be tough to compete with, to beat the guys that are already at the front, like the Red Bulls, and the Ferraris, and the McLarens but I don’t think it’s impossible.”

Hamilton has arrived at the Stuttgart-based team following German legend Michael Schumacher’s retirement but said there had been great enthusiasm and positivity at his new team.

“It was great to see how enthusiastic everyone was,” he said. “It looked like there was incredible determination to turn this around. That gave me a lot of motivation for my winter.”
