Quinton Ramone Jackson was born in Tennessee, U.S.A. on June 20, 1978. He started wrestling in high school. He had received All-State honors back then. Jackson used to be a construction worker in 1999 before he entered MMA.

In 2001, this 6 foot, 1 inch American fighter moved to Japan to fight under Pride Fighting Championships. After 10 wins and 1 loss in the U.S., he lost his debut fight under the Pride management over Kazushi Sakuraba.

Despite that, Rampage defeated Mutilo Bustamante and Chuck Liddell in 2003. Though still, he failed to claim the Pride Middleweight Grand Prix Champion title when Wanderlei Silva beat him twice. Just the same, he went back to his home country to sign up with the UFC. On his debut fight, he won against Marvin Eastman.

Afterwards, he succeeded again over Chuck Liddell winning the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship title with a bonus award as the Knockout of the Night. Jackson victoriously defended his title in opposition to Dan Henderson. But he lost it the following year against Forrest Griffin.

The other year, he challenged his long-time opponent Wanderlei Silva. He knocked him out and won again, this time with an award as Knockout of the Night. Similarly, he accepted the same award for his win over Keith Jardine in 2009.

At present Rampage’s MMA career record include 50 fights with 37 wins and 13 losses. His last fight was with Chael Sonnen on January 2018 and he lost via unanimous decision.
