Caleb Hunter Plant is an American boxer born on July 8, 1992. He is a professional boxer and holds the super middleweight title of the IBF since 2019. Plant stands 6 feet and 1 inch and comes with a 74-inch reach. He fights using the Orthodox stance.
Before signing in as a professional boxer, Plant competed in several amateur fights. He started learning how to box at the young age of 8. During his college days in 2011, he won the Golden Gloves award while fighting in the light heavyweight division. He was also short-listed in the 2012 Summer Olympics. In his entire amateur career, Plant amassed a total of 97 wins.
It was in May of 2014 when Plant turned into a professional boxer. This was after signing under Al Haymon. He started his professional career by winning 8 out of 9 fights by knockout. Further into his career, he managed to get a shot of a world title in his 18th fight when he fought with Jose Uzcategui and won by unanimous decision. This happened in January 2019. After achieving his first world title, he was able to defend it against Mike Lee in July 2019, Vincent Feigenbutz in February 2020, and Caleb Truax in January 2021.

In terms of Plant’s personal life, he had a daughter named Alia Plant. His daughter suffered from a rare medical condition that caused severe seizures. Due to this condition, Ali developed a respiratory infection that led to pneumonia and the cause of her death at only 19 months old. Plant also had a sad memory of his mother, Beth Plant, who was reported to have been shot by the police after using a knife on an officer. His mother was brought to a hospital after the incident but later succumbed to her injuries.
