Ikuhisa Minowa aka “Minowaman” is a Japanese mixed martial artist and professional wrestler born in Hashima, Gifu, Japan on January 12, 1976. He was a longtime veteran of Pancrase and PRIDE, and has also competed in other mixed martial arts promotions such as DEEP, Cage Rage, K-1 Hero’s, DREAM, and UFC.

His earlier career as a mixed martial artist was not that impressive. His debut fight at the Lumax Cup Tournament in 1996 was a lost via decision to Yuzon Tateishi. He won on his second fight at the Pancrase 1997 wining against Haygar Chin via a kneebar submission. However, after that, it was all a series of defeat in the Pancrase ring.

Ikuhisa only managed to redeemd himself inside the ring in the later part of 1998 where he won against Daisuke Ishii at the Pancrase Advance 10. He has a series of wins after that winning against Satoshi Hasegawa, Daisuke Watanabe, Daisuke Ishii and Kosei Kubota. He continued fighting at the Pancrase, this time mostly winning up until 2003. He then tried fighting at Pride and won several fights against Kenichi Yamamoto, Ryuki Ueyama, Stefan Leko and Gilbert Yvel.

He also played at Dream, K-1, Gladiator, Deep, Road FC, IGF and Pro Elite. Today, Minowa has now been focusing on professional wrestling. On 22nd of February in 2010, “Minowaman” made his debut fight for Antonio Inoki’s IGF, battling and defeating Necro Butcher in a 10-minute match. His last three fights however were all defeats at the Vale Tudo Japan, Road FC 27 and the Deep 75 Impact, respectively.

Minowa has a total of 101 fights with 60 wins and 41 losses.
