Kevin Lee is a professional mixed martial artist born on September 4, 1992. He is currently signed under the Ultimate Fighting Championship and competes in the lightweight division.
Lee was born and raised in buzzing Detroit, Michigan. He grew up competing in basketball, but transitioned to wrestling during his time at Southfield High School. He attended Grand Valley State College and continued to be part of the wrestling team. He qualified for the national tournament during his college years, but later dropped out to focus his career in mixed martial arts.
The talented fighter began his professional career in mixed martial arts in March of 2012. This was after earning an undefeated record in his amateur career. His first seven fights as a professional were all victories. It was in December of 2013 when he signed under the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Some of his accomplishments in the sport include being a one-time lightweight champion under the Total Warrior Combat.
The 23-year old fighter is known as, “The Motown Phenom”. He stands 5 feet and 9 inches and comes with a 77-inch reach. In terms of training, he goes to Xtreme Couture. Since 2012, he amassed a mixed martial arts record of 14 fights with 12 wins and 2 losses. These wins include 5 by submission and 7 by decision. The losses on the other hand included 1 by knockout and 1 by decision.
Lee’s latest fight happened in April 23, 2016 where he beat Efrain Escudero via unanimous decision. This was during the UFC 197 event held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
