Andrey Koreshkov or Andrey Andreevich Koreshkov is a Russian mixed martial artist born on August 23, 1990. He is currently signed under Bellator and competes in the welterweight division. He is also the current champion in his division.
The Russian fighter began his professional career in October 2010. He first competed exclusively in his home country and made an outstanding record of 8 wins with no losses. These initial wins came from submissions and technical knockouts. This made him top the list of the 2012 MMA scouting report.
It was in 2012 when Koreshkoc signed under Bellator. He made his debut fight in the said organization in March of that year where he competed with Tiawan Howard and won via knockout in the first round. He is still in Bellator until today and his recent fight happened in April 22, 2016 where he won via unanimous decision and defended his welterweight championship title.
The 25-year old fighter is nicknamed, “The Spartan” in the mixed martial arts world. He was born in Omsk, Russia and has a Slavic ethnicity.
