Ana Claudia Dantas Gadelha also known as “Claudinha” is a Brazilian mixed martial artist that is currently competing at the Women’s Straweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship league. She is born on December 7, 1988 and trains under the mentorship of former UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo.

Claudia is the youngest BJJ black belt in Nova Uniao’s Association’s history. She is currently at the number 1 spot in the official UFC Strawweight rankings as of July 2015.

6 As a child, she was always rebellious and did not get along with her mom. She always wanted to practice martial arts but it was not tolerated by her parents. She later on became in contact with drugs and bad friends which forced her parents to relocate her to Natal. The relocation helped her changed her life and since then started going to the gym secretly. After seeing a female fight in an MMA event in Nadala, she already knew she had discovered what she wanted to do in life.

His first debut fight in the professional fighting scene was in 2008 at the Force FC against Elaine Leite where she won via an armbar submission. She was undefeated for 12 consecutive fights in different fighting leagues like the IFC, Shooto, Max Sport and the UFC. Her debut in the UFC came in 2014 and won against Tina Lahdemaki via unanimous decision.

Her latest fight was against Jessica Aguilar at the UFC 90 where she won via unanimous decision.

Gadelha’s current record includes a total of 14 fights with only 1 loss from Joanna Jedrzejczyk in 2014 at the UFC on Fox 13.
