Max “Blessed” Hollaway is born on December 4, 1991 from Oahu Hawaii. He is currently fighting at the UFC under the featherweight division. He currently stands at the 5th spot of the official UFC featherweight rankings and remains to be the only fighter who has managed to take Conor McGregor to a considerable distance during an MMA fight.
Jerome Max Kelii Holloway graduated from Waianae High School and started tolearn kickboxing in 2010. He now currently trains at Gracie Technics Honolulu with Team Hawaii Elite MMA.
His first official MMA fight was at the X-1 Heroes against Duke Saragosa where he won via unanimous decision. He remained undefeated in the X-1 and moved on fighting in the UIC and eventually, the UFC. However, his debut fight in the UFC 143 was a defeat after suffering a triangle armbar leading to a submission from Dustin Poirier. He won three consecutive fights after then but was later on defeated by Dennis Bermudez on the UFC 160 via split decision.
He was defeated by Conor McGregor in the UFC Fight Night 26 but has managed to rise to fame because of his exemplary performance during the bout. After that, he remains undefeated with 7 wins a row, defeating Charles Oliveira in his latest fight at the UFC Fight Night 74 via a unique Esophagus Injury leading to a TKO.
Holloway has an official record of 17 fights with 14 wins and 3 losses. He is scheduled to fight at the UFC 194 in Las Vegas Nevada against Jeremy Stephens.
