Conor McGregor sustained a broken leg after his latest loss to Dustin Poirier.

The UFC event was held in Las Vegas on Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena, which quickly drew to a close after only an exciting first five minutes.

Both fighters were trying to land when McGregor stumbled backward. In the process, he trapped his foot under himself, breaking his leg when he landed. The doctors soon stopped the fight when it was clear that McGregor couldnt continue.

McGregor was interviewed in the octagon later on, with a cast on his leg. The man could not help but raged about his bad luck, saying if he has to take the fight outside with Poirier, he will.

This was the third fight between McGregor and Poirier, marked by strife in contrast to their amiable demeanor to each other earlier this year. In 2014, McGregor won at their featherweight match while Poirier exacted revenge in January this year.

American Poirier was on his home turf this time, but he was met with boos in his recent match as most crowd members were McGregors supporters. Its not a surprise there wasnt a friendly touch of gloves at the beginning of the fight.

In the post-fight interview, Poirier said McGregor fractured his leg in one of the checks at the start of the fight. He might have broken it on a punch as well, as he said he felt something when the Irish fight was kicking him hard.

With the fight stopped, the victory goes to Poirier, and its a loss to McGregor, essentially his third UFC defeat in his last four fights.
