Friday was supposed the scheduled weigh in of both Diego Ferreira and Francisco Trinaldo, both of whom would be facing against each other in UFC 237. Apparently that fight will not come into fruition as Ferreira failed to register for his weigh-in.

Trinaldo’s First Competitive Fight in 2019

The Ferreira vs Trinaldo fight in UFC 237 would have been Trinaldo’s first competitive outing for 2019. Although he had scheduled bouts with Islam Makhachev as well as Alexander Hernandez last January, both fights never came to be. Trinaldo stands at 23-6-0 and many fans were looking forward to the bout with Ferreira, which unfortunately for Trinaldo will not happen as well.

Ferreira Pulled Out Due to Medical Reasons

Diego Ferreira, an up and coming fighter in the UFC, stands at 15-2-0 and currently has a four-fight winning streak in the UFC. Ferreira’s fight in the UFC 237 against Trinaldo had fans all geared up as to whether he’ll secure his 5th winning streak. After not showing up to his weigh-in it was revealed to the Brazilian commission, CABMMA, that Ferreira had kidney stones. This led to the reason behind the fight being scratched from the UFC 237 card. The two would have been the opening bout of the UFC 237 main card, but the match up will have to take a back seat for a while. No news about a new bout order has been announced as of yet.
