Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg is a professional ice hockey team from Yekaterinburg in the Sverdlovsk Oblast of Russia. The team is one of the few ice hockey teams that have applied to join the Kontinental Hockey League. Team colors for Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg are red, black and white. Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg’s team logo is a stylized A done in black with a red background.

The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has expressed plans to expand to 30 teams. Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg was supposed to join the KHL during the 2008-2009 Season, however, due to financial difficulty, the team had to postpone their joining the club until the 2009-2010 season.

The team was founded in 2006 and the KRK Uralets serves as home ice for the team. It is an indoor sports arena that’s located in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The arena has the capacity to seat 5,500 spectators and is used for many other events aside from Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg home games.

Most of the members of the Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg are from Russia. The team does have several imports from the Czech Republic. Goaltenders for the team include Dennis Franskevich and Czech Marek Pinc.
