Cory Emmerton is a Canadian forward on the Detroit Red Wings.

Emmerton was drafted by the Red Wings in 2006 after scoring 26 goals and 90 points for the Kingston Frontenacs in the OHL. He suffered through some injuries the following year, but was named captain at the start of the 2007-08. He was traded to Brampton midway through the season and was able to compete for a spot on the Canadian national Junior team, but was sent home from camp with mono. He played the next three seasons in the AHL with the Grand Rapids Griffins, and scored 35 or more points in his last two years. He’ll compete for a roster spot on the Red Wings again this season at the 2010 training camp.
