Johan Backlund

Johan Backlund is a Swedish goalie on the Philadelphia Flyers.

Backlund was never drafted by an NHL team, but signed a contract with the Philadelphia Flyers in 2009 after playing three years with Timra IK in the Elitserien. He spent two seasons with Leksands IF before joining Timra, but he had his best seasons there. In 2006-07, he played 49 games, but allowed just 106 goals for a GAA of 2.24, and allowed just one more goal the following year. he spent 2009-10 in the AHL aside from one appearance in the NHL with the Flyers in which he allowed 2 goals.
