Mathieu Carle is a Canadian defenseman on the Montreal Canadiens.
Carle was drafted by Montreal in 2006, after scoring 18 goals and 69 points, as well as 122 penalty minutes in the QMJHL during the 2005-06 season. He joined the Hamilton Bulldogs in the AHL In 2007, and put up solid numbers over the last three seasons, earning himself a brief callup in 2009. He missed most of the season with injury, and will be expected to compete for a roster spot in 2010.
