Luca Caputi

Luca Caputi is a Canadian winger on the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Caputi was drafted in 2007 by the Pittsburgh Penguins, after scoring 65 points in his 3rd year with the Mississauga Ice Dogs in the OHL. He spent another year in the OHL, scoring 51 goals and 111 points before joining the AHL in 2008. He played in one game with the Penguins in 2009, scoring a goal inhis first game. He was traded to Toronto at the 2009 trade deadline as part of the deal that sent winger Alexei Ponikarovsky to the Pens. He scored 1 goal and 6 points over the last 19 games of the season, and is expected to compete for a roster spot at training camp.
