Severin Blindenbacher is a Swiss defenseman on Farjestads BK.

Blindenbacher was drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes in 2001, but has yet to play in North America. He has played in the Swiss junior and professional leagues since 1998. He spent 7 seasons in the Kloten Flyers organization, and scored 10 goals and 25 points in 2004-05. The following season he signed with the ZSC Lions in Zurich, where he scored a career high 34 points in 2008-09, while recording 68 penalty minutes. In 2009, he signed with Farjestads BK.

Blindenbacher has been a regular member of the Swiss national team, and played at the 2006 Winter Olympics, where Switzerland shocked many in the hockey world by turning in a very impressive showing, including a defeat of the heavily favored Canadian team.
