Marcus Johansson

Marcus Johansson is a Swedish defenseman on Farjestads BK.

Johansson was drafted 24th overall by Washington in 2009. He played 4 seasons in the Swedish junior leagues and Elitserien. In 2006, he played in 7 games for Lulea, but did not record any points. He joined Farejstad in 2008-09, when he scored 5 goals and 10 points in 45 games. Johansson is known for his strong puck-moving abilities, and his solid knowledge of the game. He will play at least one more season with Farjestads BK before coming to North America.

Johansson played for Team Sweden at a number of international competitions, most recently the 2009 World Juniors, where he won a silver medal.
