Dennis Wideman is a Canadian defenseman on the Boston Bruins.
Wideman was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in 2002, but did not make his NHL debut until 2005, with the St. Louis Blues. He played parts of two seasons with the Blues before being traded to Boston in 2007. In ’07-08, he set then-career high with 13 goals and 36 points for the Bruins. The following year, he would eclipse those totals, recording 37 assists and 50 points. He had 30 points for the Bruins the following year, but was traded to Florida during the 2010 offseason as part of the deal for Nathan Horton.
