Tim Thomas is an American goalie on the Boston Bruins.
Thomas was drafted in 1994 by the Quebec Nordiques and went on to play four years of college hockey at the University of Vermont, where he played exceptionally well. He then spent a few season in the Finnish SM-liiga and the AHL, before signing with Boston and making his NHL debut in 2003. He did not play all that well until 2007-08, when he posted 28 wins and a 2.44 GAA. In 2008-09, he teamed up with Manny Fernandez to form one of the top goaltending tandems in the NHL, and has helped the Bruins become one of the top teams in the league.
He has played for the USA at the ’95, ’96, ’98, ’05 and ’08 World Championships.
