Kris Russell is a Canadian defenseman on the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Russell was drafted in 2005 by Columbus, but continued playing in the WHL with the Medicine Hat Tigers until 2007. In his final season in the WHL, Russell put up 32 goals and 69 points in 59 games. In 67 NHL games, he recorded 2 goals and 10 points.

Russell played for Team Canada at the 2006 and 2007 World Junior Championships, winning gold medals at both tournaments.
