Brett Carson is a Canadian defenseman in the Carolina Hurricanes’ organization.

Carson was drafted by the Hurricanes in 2004, after scoring 32 points with the Calgary Hitmen in the WHL. He spent two more seasons in the WHL before joining the Albany River Rats in the AHL in 2006. He spent three years in the AHL before joining the Hurricanes in 2008. He played most of the 2009-10 season with the Hurricanes, recording 2 goals and 12 points in the 54 games he played. He’ll compete for a roster spot at the 2010 training camp.
