Brian Bateman is a professional golfer who started playing pro in 1996 and was born on February 25, 1973 in Monroe, Louisiana. He grew up in Louisiana and subsequently studied at Louisiana State University while in college where he finished with a degree in marketing.
Soon after turning pro, Bateman joined the Nationwide Tour and played there from 1997 to 2001. However, during those years, he was only able to win one event. Soon after, he transferred to the PGA Tour in 2002 after he was able to finish T-32 at the Q-school in 2001. Unfortunately, he was not able to make waves upon entry to the competition until 2007 when he was able to win his very first PGA Tour title at the Buick Open.
Since playing rights to the PGA Tour have to be acquired, Bateman lost his rights in 2009, and is currently unable to play. So far, he has been able to appear at 2 Major Championships, only to be eliminated in earlier rounds. He has 1 PGA Tour victory as well as 1 Nationwide Tour title.
