As an amateur player, he was ranked World No.1 from May 2017 to April 2018. He had originally planned to attend the University of South Florida but was unable to do because of his low TOEFL scores.

In 2017, he was awarded the Mark H McCormack Medal. The following year, he was allowed to play in the US Open and the Open Championship. In the same year, he won the Latin America Amateur Championship. This allowed him to play in the 2018 Masters Tournament.

Professional Career

He turned pro in 2018, playing in the Valero Texas Open. For the rest of 2018, he played with a Special Temporary Member Status on the PGA Tour. The next year, he won his first PGA Tour event, the A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier. In 2021, he made it to the playoff of both the Santry Tournament of Champions and the Rocket Mortgage Classic. His next PGA win came in 2022 at the Genesis Invitational.

He also played in the Chilean Tour. In 2016, he won the Alberto Las Brisas de Santo Domingo as an amateur. As a pro, he played in and won the Abierto Club de Golf Los Leones.
