Career

In 2005, when he was 20 years old, he managed to secure a spot on the European Tour. He also secured a spot on the Challenge Tour. His first professional win was the Austrian MAN NO Open. In 2008, he won the Credit Suisse Challenge.

In 2011, he got the 30th place in the final Order of Merit after he made it to the runner-up position of the Portugal Masters. The biggest win of his career came in 2012 when he won the Omega Dubai Desert Classic. He also broke into the Top 100 for the first time this year.

In 2016, he had several notable finishes including a third-place spot at the WGC-Dell Match Play. This increased his ranking to No.36. In the Summer Olympics that year, he represented Spain, finishing in the 5th spot. In 2017, he won his second European Tour title, the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open.
