He turned pro in 2010 and started his career playing on the OneAsia Tour. His first professional win was when he was on the Japan Golf Tour. He won in 2012 at the Nagashima Shigeo Invitational Sega Sammy Cup. In 2015, he won the Kolon Korea Open. He also won the Honma TourWorld Cup at Trophia Golf. In 2016, he defended his title at Kolon.

In May 2021, he won his first PGA Tour title, the AT&T Byron Nelson. He beat Sam Burns by three strokes. The following year, he defended that title, this time beating Jordan Spieth by one stroke.
