Adam Jones Dropping the Nickname

Outside of the sheer goofiness of the Pacman moniker, Adam Jones is going to have to do a lot more than that to earn the trust of fans and teams again. He needs to prove that he has things turned around OFF the field, which is how many of his issues started in the first place.

Well, I hope they do the right thing too, if he messes up again but do they often do the right thing when it comes to their star players? Pacman is the only way I know him, lol.

Adam "Pacman" Jones wants to drop his nickname in the hopes of trying to get his act together. I think it will take more than that to do it but I hope he can straighten himself out finally and be an asset to the team both on and off the field! Smitty

What is the big deal? Is he hoping that just dropping a nickname is going to make him a different/better person? He has a lot more to change than that to make up for all of his previous mistakes. I would like to see it happen but I won't hold my breath! George

He can drop the Pacman nickname if he wants but it's going to take a long time for people to stop calling him that, if they ever do.

Pacman is just a nickname, and dropping it alone does not stop people from saying "Oh, you mean that Pacman guy?" This guy has some really serious issues that need to be worked out, and I think more time off the field is needed to do that. All I can hope is that the NFL does the right thing, if he gets himself into trouble again.

He is to be known as the formerly known player called Pacman............haha wow what a crok. Sorry but its true and even more funny since its a nickname. Changing a name even a nickname omit/make a new one, change your real name none of it matters if you don't change your actions.

The right thing to do would have been to let Pacman go munch on his power pills OFF the field, for quite a while longer than they did. That dude won't change if he thinks he can just get away with anything.
