According to the Super Kings skipper, their loss to the Delhi Daredevils was due to the fact that the Kings' bowling was not what it should be at the end of the game when it really counts. They started out with a good lead but lost after not being able to regain their lead at the end.

It is easy to attribute the loss to poor performances of the bowlers but what about the fieldsmen and the batters were they all doing their part. Losses are usually never wholely the responsibility of one faction of the team.

When we listen one team member seemly put down another part of the team, it can sound like they are placing blame. However, if the bowlers didn't hit the mark they are not being critical, simply honest. The important thing is did he state the poor bowling was a bowler problem or a team problem.

Well, at least in that particular match, this is the truth. The bowling started really strong but then seemed to go flat about a third of the way in. By the end of the match, it was really looking rather pathetic. Not sure what happened but maybe they just lost confidence once things started going wrong.

Well, if that's the case then Dhoni was right in his comments. After all, if a team cannot honestly evauate their weaknesses in a particular game, how will they hope to improve for the next one?

You are definitely right, cricket fan. When we listen to someone on the team, or off the team, criticize a particular part of the game, it is easy to say they are placing blame. However, each team must be able to honestly evaluate their game.

From the players perspective, they have to be critical of each other. It is vital to the success of the whole team. They win or lose as a team. With so much money, power, popularity, etc., at stake; each player is not only responsible for being extremely critical of oneself but the team as a whole. It's not kindergarten, anymore.

As great of a team as the Super Kings may be, they still make some mistakes like any of us would from time to time. All they can do is try to figure out what they aren't doing right, and then work on addressing it in a proper manner.
