Sunday, 11-15-09, Patriots 34-Colts 28, Patriots ball on their own 28 yard line, Fourth Down and Two Yards to go. Bill Belichick risked everything on one play Sunday night. He decided to go for the first down. The Patriots did not get the first down, the Colts took over on the New England 29 yard line and moved 29 yards in four plays to win the game by one point, 35-34. The Colts remain undefeated at 9-0 and the Patriots dropped to 6-3, assuring that if they get that far, they will once again have to play the Colts on the Colts' home field. In his news conference Monday, Bill Belichick said he thinks that strategy gave his team its best chance to win Sunday night. Question For The Day: What choice would you have made and why?

I would have punted and forced the Colts to drive 75-80 yards. That forces them to execute flawlessly and not commit a turnover for 7 - 8 plays, while trying to manage the clock by working sideline patterns rather than over the middle routes.
