Three Proteas players made the cut for the ICC World Twenty20 Team. They were Jacques Kallis, AB de Villiers and Wayne Parnell. They will join four players from Pakistan, three from Sri Lanka and two from the West Indies.
I am hearing more talk over those (like I noted) from Pakistan, but it seems now some of my friends are worried how the picks were made. Since it wasn't all stats, and everyone is reporting that, some feel an uneven pick was made. I think if you can do, do it.
I think for those who want to try and beat another's record its a hard task in itself. All of these greats we see every few years, each hold and bring something different to the game. There is no telling how one could really compete - its just to large of an area to spread for the entire game.
When I first read this article I was confused. I was thinking, "Wait a minute. Pakistan just won the ICC World Twenty20. Why are they choosing a new team already?" Then I read that the next World Cup is being played in 2010. I thought the Cups were usually two years apart?
