Jeter = Most Overrated
The most of all as in like ever? Are you sure that was read right or maybe aliens took over your mind for a little bit and made you think that? I think anyone can be overrated but making statements like that can make others questions their thoughts on him.
I don't know if I would say he was the most over rated. Personally, I think he is a pretty good player but I don't think he is worth what he is paid.
I looked at the newsday site and from what I can tell, the poll wasn't say that derek jeter was the most overrated player ever, just right now.

I see where some replies missed the point. It never said that Jeter was the most over rated of all time, just currently over rated! That's like saying that by you committing a murder wasn't the worst thing you ever did, just the worst thing you did today. Why would anyone think that that type of negative publicity be less impactful if it just meant for now. These guys are getting ridiculous sums of money and couldn't care less about public opinion. They ARE laughing at us on the way to the bank. Jeter has become one of America's darlings. But he does deserve respect for his skills as a ball player. It's the whole state of baseball and that we over rate.
