3rd highest

I just read that at 21.6 million dollars, Derek Jeter is the 3rd highest paid player in baseball. Can you believe that!?

I can believe that. It means he has a good agent, the Yankees management loves him and that Jeter needs more money so that he can afford to donate a lot of it to charity. He is not like other high profile athletes that go crazy on gambling like Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan.

I did not know that he gave a lot to charities. Even so, no one person needs a salary that high, lol. Plus, he has a couple of commercials too. I'd guess he gets a little money off of them.

Just amazing. The fact that these salaries are like monopoly money to the average guy is one thing.But to know that any team would pay anyone $21.6 million is asinine. They deserve what ever they get. And that there are two even greater salaries out there...whew! Priorities are out of whack.Society has so many needs and these athletes are rich beyond comprehension. But how can I blame them when it is the owners paying the money? I would not say no.
