Derek feels bad for friend

Willie Randolph's firing was the topic on everyone's mind at the FanFest promo earlier. This is what Derek had to say: "It's unfortunate," Jeter said. "Willie's a friend of mine. He's a great coach. He's a great manager. He cares a lot about winning. He cares a lot about the team. I don't follow the specifics about what's been going on with the Mets, so I can't comment on what's going on. But I feel extremely bad for Willie."

It's sad that when a team is struggling that all you can do is fire the manager. But it is their job to get the most out of their players.
