Is anyone going to see this before it goes away? I live to far away but I am seeing the commercials on TV all over about it (even on non sports channels).

I have never been there either but I did go and see the old stadium in MD before they built another one since its my home state. I would love to see this one but the travels and funds are not where they should be for such a long trip.

I live 550 miles from Yankee Stadium and I managed to make it there. So if you are a true baseball fan then you will borrow the money and go!

I really wish I could go and I am a fan but I also have three kids and facts is facts. My kids come before anything!

I just had a discussion with some friends about going to see Yankees stadium this summer, and it pretty much looks like things will be go after all! This may very well be the last time I get to see the stadium, so I want to make the most of it.

I went to Yankee Stadium for the last time June 7th. It was sunny and 99 degrees out. Yankees won 12-11 on Johnny Damon's 6 for 6 performance.

I am seriously very sad to see the old stadium go, especially after such a long and successful run there. You could say that we have already seen the end of several era's within that one stadium, but an even bigger era is ending with the team moving. Really saddening to me.

There's no way that I could make it, as I don't drive and am a couple of thousand miles away. It would be a wonderful trip-such a shame that it's going.

I wish I could go see the stadium- I've never been able to there- but since I live in Kentucky, that is an impossibility.

But can you folks believe it? There is over 85 years of Baseball history within that one building, and I just can't believe they are going to just leave it after being there so long. That stadium is just as much a part of the Yankees, as the players themselves.

Breakingball its not all about the money for the reasons we can or can not go. I can not take the time off, its that simple. Each person has their own reasons but please don't state its only for the money sake thats just kind of rude to assume we are not true fans if we can not get there. I have no idea as for what would happen to the place, I was under the impression it was all being taken down (I wonder if they will sell pieces of it).

I would honestly prefer if they kept the stadium around in some form, even if they decided to just turn it into some sort of Yankees museum. That building is a piece of baseball history, and all the many eras of Baseball that have come and gone since it was built. You can't just tear it down!

I will have to see if I can take a trip up to New York next month, as it is only a few hours by car anyway. To not go again before it's torn down, I would probably hate myself for it.

Eddiec: I misunderstood your comment "I would love to see this one but the travels and funds are not where they should be for such a long trip." I think it is rude that you think I am rude and would state it publicly in a forum. So there.
