There's no doubt Cowher was a fine coach, during his tenure with the Steelers. However, do you feel he was the best ever? Personally, I do. Think of how many years the Steelers made the playoffs under his watch. Even with only 1 Superbowl win, he kept his team as top contenders year after year. That has to mean something!

I have to go with Chuck Noll winning 4 superbowls for the Steelers in about 23 seasons. But I am still wondering if the new coach will live up the legacy that the 2 coaches behind.

Cowher might be good, but I doubt he was the best ever, then he must get in a wrestling match with Noll....

Bill is in the top, he is very close to the top, but I am not sure if he is the best ever. I need to think alittle before I would agree to that.

Cowher and Noll are pretty close. I think determining who is the best ever is quite difficult. Both, and some others, have had some nice games and seasons. But it would be between these to chaps

I agree, I don't think either is "the best ever" as each had his own strengths and weaknesses. I think they were both fine coaches and did alot for the team. They left quite a legacy for future coaches to follow.
