do you like Peyton Manning?
Although he isn't my favorite quarterback, i've always had a lot of respect for this guy. Also i'd say he's definitely one of the best Quarterbacks out there. His off-field life I don't really keep track of, so I can't comment there. Either way, he's an excellent player.
I agree, he's an excellent quarterback. I'm not just saying that because the Colts are my team, he has a great talent of reading plays and his throws are superb.
As a player, I feel he is superb. However, he isn't quarterback for my team, so I can't like him a lot. ;) However, as a person, I feel he is a bit of a sell out. It seems like he is always in commercials or on TV. But that is just me. I tend to act like a bitter old man when it comes to that stuff.
I don't think there is a single person who can doubt his skills on the field. He is an awesome quarterback and will likely follow in the footsteps of Montana, Elway, Marino, etc...I've not but respect for the guy, unfortunately though I do not live anywhere near him so news of him doesn't make it to KC unless its something big. So, I don't know much about the man Payton Manning, just the player Peton Manning.
I think he's going to turn out to be one of, if not the best, quarterback to play the game. Because of his natural skills and his dedication. His skill is there for everyone to see. And his dedication shows in the fact that he spends a lot of time watching the game films. Studying the plays and the game in general. His heart is in football.
I agree, he's a good QB, but as others have mentioned, he isn't on my team either. I was never a fan of the Colts. I'm a straight out Cowboys fan. A friend of mine really like the Colts though, he went down there to watch a game - I believe they lost that game LOL!
Wow, this certainly started a lot of discussion! Anyway, as others have already mentioned: Peyton Manning is definitely one of the quarterbacks to watch! Will he ever be up there with Marino etc.? The potential is there, but only time will tell.
Peyton's definitely one of the best quarterbacks in recent years. He has the makings of a true hall of famer, especially considering his family.
The question is not if he will be there with the likes of Marino.....hmmmmm....it should be likes of Montana
I forgot to mention though, when he played against his brother, Eli Manning, he gained a lot of respect from me because they met in the field and basically greeted one another - you don't see that a lot.
I think alot of the guys get into the hype of him being so great, and a ton of chicks get into it b/c he has a cute face (not the best mind you, but not the worse either). I'm sure he can do his deal on the field, but I have only watched 1-2 of his games, so I cant answer exactly how most of you can.
In regards to playing against Eli Manning: What do you expect, the guy's his brother! Of course they'll be nice to eachother.
