Offensive Guard (og)

Offensive Guard (OG) An offensive guard blocks a defensive end during a game

The “offensive guard” in American football is a player whose main duty is to protect the quarterback from the defensive team’s linemen during pass plays and to make holes or openings for the running backs to pass through. An “offensive guard” lines up between the center and the tackles of the offensive line and are considered as ineligible receivers.
