Professional Career
He turned pro in 2021. He was a first-round pick during the 2021 NFL Draft. Wilson was selected 2nd overall by the New York Jets. This made him the highest-drafted player from BYU. He was the 2nd of the 5 quarterbacks that were drafted that year.
He signed a four-year contract with the team in July 2021. In week 7, he had a knee injury that ruled him out for the next four games, and was replaced by Mike White. In 2022, he missed the first three games of the season. Later, he was demoted to the third string behind White.
