David Bakhtiari is an American football player from California. He has been playing in the National Football League since 2013 for the Green Bay Packers. Throughout his professional career, he has been selected to play in the Pro Bowl three times. He has also been named to the First-team All-Pro twice.

David Afrasiab Assad Bakhtiari was born on September 30, 1991, in San Mateo, California. He stands 193 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 141 kg. The offensive tackle is brothers with Eric Bakhtiari who went on to play for the Tennessee Titans in the NFL. His parents are Icelandic and Iranian.
He attended the Junipero Serra High School in California where he played both lacrosse and football. Rivals.com ranked him as a two-star recruit coming out of high school. He committed to play for the University of Colorado. He stayed with them from 2009 to 2012.
While in college, he was named to the Second-team All-Pac 12 twice.
Bakhtiari was drafted into the NFL during the 2013 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. He was the 109th overall pick of the draft. He has consistently performed well for the Packers and in 2017, he was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time. He was named to the Pro Bowl again in 2019 and 2020.
In 2016, he was also named to the Second-team All-Pro. Also, in 2016, he was signed by the Packers to a contract extension that was worth $48 million. He was named to the First-team All-Pro in 2018 and 2020. When his contract was up, the Packers extended his contract to a further four years for US$105.5 million.
